Baby Roz Cutie Patootie!

Feburary 08, 2008

Its sounds like a great idea to start this, I even add Montgomery and
Leitu to the email list and forward it to Sora Betham as well.
I feel the same like you Katie, I am so caught up as a working woman
that I don't have the time to even call Frances or anybody unless it's a
must do thing. But this is great to get in touch with everyone. Good
Job.
Well in our neck of the wood, Baby Roz is the center of our lives in
Long Beach. She is a joy to have with us to represent all the other
grandchildren that are in Utah. I kiss and hug baby roz and I feel like
I kiss all of them. Her nickname is Leto'a meaning impatience, she
screams until she gets her milk. Montgomery and Leitu is getting
assistance from the wic and baby roz has 9 cans of milk for a month.
Well she finished all that 9 cans in three weeks. It didn't last to the
next supply, it sure runs in the family. Montgomery and Dad still
holding two jobs, a day job and the sleeping job. Amazing they are still
considered normal people. As for me I am still doing good a little bit
out of shape but manage to survive.
Spiritually, I am getting lazy in saying my prayers, and I am out on a
no calling member so its kind of good and bad that I don't feel like
going to any church meeting. And I am still working hard to pay my
tithing.
Well nothing much is going on, but I am excited to go to Utah and see
everyone there, sad its only a short trip but I will enjoy it.
Have a good day to you all and see you later.
Mama Betham

I think I am going to start doing what Saolo is doing and occasionally
send all of you and email to touch base and update you on our lives.
Infact I urge all of us to do the same, because we get so busy with
stuff and we tend to forget to say hello and keep up with each of our
lives.
I know Mama Betham is excited to come up to Utah this weekend and see
all her grandbabies, especially Jimmy JR celebrating his 1yr bday. Next
week, I hope the Hills are still coming down to sunny Ca for Laurynn's
baptism! Tinei is coming down that weekend as well since it is a long
weekend for her. I do miss Tinei an awful lot but I am happy that she is
in a great school and spending time with Lah and Gerard!
Nicko had a little accident 2 weeks ago, he was going to the bus after
school and instead of walking down the stairs he jumped and sprained,
twisted his ankle. So it was pretty swollen and the xrays could not
tell if it has a fracture or just a good sprain. So we went twice to
xrays, and then he has been using crutches. Two days after the
incident, Grandma Maota massaged it, and my heart went out to Nicko. He
was crying like a baby. It really HURTS!!!
Anyways, its been about three weeks now and the swelling has gone down
and all looks ok, although he will never let grandma touch it again! I
dont blame him.
Taylor, the pretty boy is still growing his hair long. You know the
movie the Princess Dairy, the first one, you know the boy that like Mia
who has a band. Taylor's hair is that long! I am not fighting that
battle with him. This is the only time he will have to get it out of
his system before his mission. He also still refuse to shave the bush
of hair growing on his chin!!
So I have been teaching seminary for a few months now. I really enjoy
it. I am becoming a morning person, waking up at 4am to study for my
lesson. I really have to go to bed at 10pm at the latest or else the
whole week is hard. I cant believe that I am getting up this early, and
still feel good the rest of the day. It has given me a testimony of the
D&C 88 which teaches us to "retire to thy bed early, that thou mayest
rise early" My whole life I have struggled with getting up early, until
I heard a seminar by Tony Robbins. He said that the secret of his
success is the minute he gets up in the morning, he jumps out of bed(do
not allow your mind to think) and immediately start your day. Your day
should start by meditating and thinking about all the things that you
are grateful for. List them all! So I started doing that. Now I get
up, immediately before I get out of bed, I say my personal prayer. I
list all the blessings that I have received and there are so many. I
have to say, it really works and I feel so fulfulled and blessed. It
gives me a different frame of mind to start the day with.
Well AIGA, hope all is well with everyone. When you have a chance drop
me a note. I love you all. Roz and Betty and Jimmy, please help your
aunty Peka, I know she struggles because she is still in darkness, lets
extend our arms out to her and help her come back to the gospel where
she will find true happiness.
Alofa Tele,
Katie and George

BUNA!!!
It's official...I'm a bucRAT!!! I was transfered here to BUCHAREST!!!
Sector 6...& I love it here. It's not as pretty as Oradea, but it's a
big city with lots of people...& lots of members!!! There's a Capella
(Chapel) here & it's so bling!!! There are a few American & Canadian
families in our branch that work at the Embassy. We visited the LeBarge
family last night, & it felt alot like home. My new companion, Sora
Larsen, is from Colorado. She's so tight. & guess what??!!! Her Mom's a
Caterer, so she cooks alot for us!!! Man, I'm gonna gain so much
weight!!! The good thing is that our District is starting this workout
plan they call "Batman Abs"...so lets hope I look like Catwoman after
this transfer!!! lol...
As far as the work, one of our investigators, Geta has a baptisimal
date!!! April 6 is the day. We're just teaching her right now, but we're
working to get their whole family baptized. She was a referral from Sora
Coca. They both have hanicap kids, so they talk alot about religion &
finding happiness in life. Geta's son, Marian has problems walking. He's
the only one that sits in on our lessons. Her husband & her other son
are always on the computer or watching TV. But we're still trying to
work with ALL of them.
As you can probably tell, I'm doing alot better. The language is coming
a little easier with time, & with the help of the Lord. This new change
has done a lot for me. A fresh new start is what I really needed after
all the drama in Oradea.
Well, I hope you're all doing well. I agree with Aunty Katie & think we
all need to update the family with everything that's going on. I know
you are all busy, but it's important to appreciate the blessings in our
lives, DAILY. Read your scriptures & SAY YOUR PRAYERS!!!
I love & miss you all,
Sora Bitam (as the Romanians say it)
P.S. I know you guys are dying to know what I want you to send me this
month...But, don't feel like you should be limited to just this list!!!
Use your IMAGINATION!!!
Mapeline, Ranch Packets, Sarasa Pens (Zebra Gel Pens), Peanut Butter
(Chunky), My George Foreman Grill from Roz's house, Alfredo Sauce
Powder, The Good kind of BBQ Sauce, A Bottle of Tylenol, Cold Syrup, &
Oreos!!!
P.S.S. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! AVETI ZIUA DE VALENTIN FERICITA!!!
